Lisa Tawn Bergrens new YA series, River of Time, is romantic, historical fiction in which the plucky heroine doesnt have to fear a vampires bite but must. She is alone and completely disoriented and when she emerges from the tomb she finds herself in the middle of a fierce battle between sword wielding knights. While spending her summer vacation with her archeologist mom, Gabi is thrust back to fourteenth century Italy after entering a tomb where she knew she wasn’t supposed to be. Waterfall didn’t disappoint in that regard. I love it when a character is displaced so far out of their norm that they are forced to fake their way through an impossible journey. She has written bestselling childrens books, award-wining YA (Waterfall), popular historical fiction, contemporary fiction, womens nonfiction, and gift books. I love time travel so when I saw this book on a friend’s Goodreads shelf, I decided to give it a try. No spoilers in this rapid review of Waterfall by Lisa Tawn Bergren. ![]()
